Title: Eldar light cruisers/ eldar merchantmen self buidling
Post by: Saverio on September 25, 2015, 04:01:19 PM
Hello, I have a good eldar fleet: 3 Void stalkers, 4 Eclipse, 3 already painted Shadows and 2 to finish but I never wanted to buy Forgeworld material...now I own a small mechanical shop..and what is for you the best way to produce (for my collection only) same light cruiser and merchantman...
thank you

You buy one and make a mould. Then cast it in whatever materials you want. Alternatively you sculpt and cast your own

I don't wont to be offensive but a reply like this it's like a fart in a hurricane...I have asked for something serious...like someone who has a IGS model of the thing or something similar....

What does IGS stand for?

And the answer from gothmog was rather serious given the info you gave to us to be honest. ;)

Yeah, I was being 100% serious as that is the only way know of, other than 3d printing, to make these ships. And it seemed the only issue you had with FW was the material and not the sculpt, so making casts seemed like the solution. On top of that you were rather vague in what your "workshop" was. Sorry if my answer seemed terse or brief, but I was in my phone.
If you are looking for instructions on how to cast, well that wasn't clear in your first post, and I wouldn't be able to help. A Google search though can easily reveal a ton of helpful how to's.

I too have no idea what IGS stands for.

Sorry, I'm not a native speaker and maybe I've misunderstood, thank you for the replies...what I need is a 3d
files that defines the shape of the ship, exactly like the 3d printers file, because I can mill them (stl igs etc..), or less good but also usefull will be a 3 or 4 wiew blueprint...
thank you

Unfortunately you probably won't find any here. I don't see much 3-d printing activity. You may get lucky, but you'd be relying on someone giving up their CAD design and most people making 3D BFG ships seem to be selling them on shapeways...

Yeah, I think you will need to make them yourselves.
