Title: The White 'Space Dwarf'
Post by: Stomm on September 29, 2009, 06:09:05 PM
I don't really know where else to put this, btu Space Hulk seems to be the only remotely appropriate section, so....

Anyone else noticed it on the GW website? It's the new WD subscriber model that will be available in November IIRC. Either way, I can't help but say 'Squats Ahoy!', but I very much doubt that we'll see anything more than this... :(

Don't see why SH is the most apropriate section, i would put this in general discussion :) As for the Dwarf it's just a 40k version of White Dwarf character and nothing more. And i'm personally glad becouse squats in their original form were rather a joke army. Starting with their name :P They really dosen't fit in todays 40k frenchise unless they get some serious adjustment. If we ever see them again they will be completly diffrent. The Demiurg seem a good way to develop them anew.

I put it here because he could make an interesting SH character, objective, independant creature or whatever. He is after all in a space suit....

Well I do forsee ebay being flooded with the little blighters in the lead-up to Xmas. As a subscriber you aren't actually limited in the number of subscriber-only models that you can buy, I've just ordered myself three of the existing ones to get them before they're gone. One to say that I'll eventually paint, but probably never will, one to collect, and one to try to justify buying the other two by eventually selling it on ebay, and probably only just breaking even...

Actually that's pretty much what I do every time with limted edition figures, you would have thought that I would have realised by now that its only ever the limited edition Space Marines that make any real money later on ebay...
