Title: Necron Fleet in low points battles

A friend of mine wants to start playing Necrons.
Since we mostly play pretty small battles, I want to make a fleet that is not completely useless and end up with him ditching the race altogether.
We play with the BFG:R fleet lists, by the way.

Usually we play 600 or 1000 points per fleet.

So i thought maybe for the 600 Pt-fleet something like:

Sepulcher                                 75pts
Kopesh Light Harvest Ship     220pts
Cartouche Light Harvest Ship 155pts
3x Jackal Raider                      150pts

And for the 1000 Pt-fleet:

Sepulcher                            75pts
Scythe Harvest Ship          315pts
Kopesh light Harvest Ship 220pts
4x Dirge Raiders                180pts
4x Jackal Raiders               200pts

What do you guys think? I fear the Scythe+Mandatory Sepulcher may be too pricey for 1k, but the sepulcher+ star pulse generator would buffer nicely against ordonance...

Please advise!

Looks neat enough. Don't worry about the scythe.

Fluffwise it would be cooler though to have one big Scythe with a horde of small escorts. That would work good at those levels.

So while I think the Scythe + 4 Jackals for 600 points doesn't really convey the feel of a horde of escorts (go figure ;)), the 1000 points fleet could look like

Sepulcher                    75pts
Scythe Harvest Ship   315pts
4x Dirge Raiders         180pts
4x Dirge Raiders         180pts
5x Jackal Raiders        200pts

for exactly 1000pts.. is that what you had in mind?
