Title: My 2016 Adepticon List: Updated with link to the Fluff!

Hi all! Thought I would share my Adepticon fleet list for review and comment. I've put the list in spoiler tags for those that are going and would rather be surprised  8):

[spoiler] Main IN Force

Total Fleet Cost: 1465

1 Retribution, 345 pts
1 Admiral (Ld 9), 100 pts = (base cost 100 + 1 Re-rolls)

1 Mars, 285 pts = (base cost 270 + Targeting Matrix 15)

1 Gothic, 180 pts

 1 Tyrant, 195 pts = (base cost 185 + 45cm Weapon Batteries 10)

 5 Cobra, 150 pts = 5 * 30

6 Sword, 210 pts = 6 * 35

SM Allied Flotilla

Total Fleet Cost: 280

1 Strike Cruiser, 145 pts

3 Gladius, 135 pts = 3 * 45

Combined Force Cost = 1745 Points

I'm figuring that I will generally be "out-sticked" when it comes to Ordnance, so I plan on using mine defensively for the large part. What do you think?

I'd almost say why bother with the Mars. I guess a few fighters would be useful still. Looks fun though. I'll be at Adepticon, but unfortunately not playing BFG :( the 40k team tourney conflicted...

I had the same conflict the last time I was at Adepticon in 2012! Enjoy the team tourney, I had a blast.

On the Mars, I grant that it's not the most efficient choice. Using it for some fighter cover was the main idea, but I also wanted to have at least one Nova Cannon in the fleet, so there is that. Finally, my Mars is the very first gaming miniature I ever painted, so it's also there for some strong sentimental reasons  8).

Having only 2 thunderhawks for fighter defence, without being Bakka, means you're pretty well entirely boned in the ordnance phase. The Mars is essential, or failing that, a Dictator (and toss the Nova cannon on the Tyrant).
