Title: Warmaster UK Nationals Derby World Wargames Show October 1st-2nd.

Hello all,

The first Warmaster UK Nationals will be run at the Derby World Wargames Show 2016, sponsored by KR.

This will be a two day event, 16 players on the 1st and 2nd of October.

£20 for the event plus entry into the show. There will be plenty of time to see the show, 2 rounds each day.

Click on the 'Competitions' heading which will give you a link to the competition rules. To enter you will need to send the Competition entry form and paypal to the address given.

Just bumping this as a reminder to people that it is 4 months before the event. For those of you in Europe, it is happening right next to East Midlands airport.  If you book now you might still get a cheap flight!?

Bumping this again. 

Currently the Warmaster take-up is very low and so the tournament is in danger of being dropped by the overall event organisers.

Therefore, if you were intending to participate but have not yet signed up, please could you do so within the next couple of weeks. 

Alternatively, if you were not aware of the event and fancy a weekend of Warmaster, then do please get yourself on to the website http://www.worldwargames.co.uk/ and sign-up under ‘competitions’ as soon as possible. 

Paul Winter (the tournament organiser) says that it should be possible to play for just one day if you can’t make the whole thing, but unfortunately you’ll have to pay the full entry fee.

As I said before, the event is happening next to East Midlands airport, so air travel is an option for European players.  And it is also close to excellent motorways for those travelling by car from north or south.

Update: The Warmaster Fantasy competition has been cancelled due to lack of interest.

Drat.... I only tend to look at the Warmaster specific tabs so didn't see this :( Shame as I think at least a few of us would have come along!
If there are plans for something else like this in the UK is there any chance of cross-posting a heads up in the Warmaster section?
