Ok, I am in... I will be less ambitious in June as I had been in May. This month I made a great effort to complete the aprox 1000-1200 pts, so I am not sure if I could steal so much time in June.

I have painted 1000 to 6000 pts in all of the main fantasy armies except skaven, so I decide to start the rats.

My goal for June is

1x screaming bell
1x clan rat
maybe 1x character

I'm in too.  3 units of Marauder infantry.  Mercenary allies for my Ostermark army.

I'm in but not sure what I'll paint. Need to finish off Mays Marauder Cavalry, first.

I SHOULD paint some Marauder Infantry like EmpireAddict but my "muse" might decide to go for Wood Elves or something.

Alright. I got a very busy June, including moving and getting married :D.  But I will try!  Put me down for an empire hero on griffon. And if I'm feeling really ambitious, one stand of halberdiers.

I'll go with a unit of Dwarf Handgunners.

June is going to be a weird month for me, changing my office location, as well as being seconded to our main client for a few days each week. So not entirely sure how much time I'll be able to set aside for painting  :(

Hopefully things will pick up in July, fingers crossed.

Howdy all,
One scratch built chaos sorcerer. Hoping to also have a unit of chaos warriors as well, also scratch built but this will be a fairly ambitious goal, perhaps a bridge to far. Let me know if I'm too late for this month.

I'm going to try for a unit of Landsknecht Arquebusiers this month.

@mlkr -you might want to extend the entry deadline unitl the end of the month in case people assumed it to be that.

Since it is already june. I do have little progress:

I decided against a unit of warmonger halberdiers since I own a unit of these beauties.

I hope it's ok with everyone changing my goal.

Since I don't know anything about a "norse project", it is not. It is a unit of Chaos North Marauders I had the pleasure ripping out of there blister most recently.

I'm going to paint them as Beorg Bearstruck and the bearmen of urlso. By the end of the month, it might be.

I underestimated my uni work... hopefully I can start making progress when the July thread comes around. It's great to see everyone else's progress though!

On the positive side I have assembled a lot of Warhammer High Elves (feeling nostalgic for my old opponent armies since GW is killing the lines), and I've done some painting- of a Tasmanian Devil skeleton (bones were missing, so substitutes had to be sculpted and painted).

I'm hoping to get something finished and up loaded this weekend but I use daylight for photos and it's been in pretty short supply this week. Sorcerer is about finished and got side tracked on a chaos hero riding a stag-ish creature. Took some photos of the hero and it looked so rubbish in the photos I back tracked and ripped half it off. Also started 2 giants but the one face I've done is pretty average.

Still working out how to take photos so you'll have to bear with me. I'll just try to stick up the shared album. Ignore the Treeman, the only 10mm there are some satyrs on the base as sprites.  Hero has had a bit of rework now. Giant only about half finished. If anyone knows of a good 10mm how-to-sculpt-faces tutorial then please let me know. Ill have one more bash at it before decapitation it and sticking a appellants head on. More photos later and can someone please let me know that they can see this album and just this album -tanks.

I had been painting a kislev unit... but now I only need to base it. I am very happy because with this spare unit left to paint, I had achieve my goal of painting Kislev army. Project complete. And is a satisfactory moment.

But we are not here to talk about Kislev... so it is time to start the Tale.

Here is my goal

This two references and a unit of already painted rats with lances is all my skaven army I have here in Galicia. So I hope this summer, when I will go to Madrid, to grab my skaven bare metal blisters and continue working in the army.

White for the foot and black for the metallically dominated horse.

Sorry for the slight derailing  :P

Yes, another student and I are assembling the skeleton for a project- unfortunately it was the subject of a roughly done autopsy, and possible skinning, so many bones were cut and needed repairing or replacing- hence the need for sculpting and painting (I wasn't given the chance to sculpt the bones sadly, due to time constraints, and the painting was rushed too. I really want to have another go at it with less time pressure).

Wild ones are extremely timid, so not much threat- but if you did corner one you'd be in trouble  :P
The project is due Wednesday, so hopefully I'll have good photos of the finished product by then.

Very kind Stormwind. I'm no stranger to bashing but all original there, bar the metal chaos hero who is in there for scale.  I'll add in the giant again when he's updated but that WILL have a GW head. Can't seem to sculpt faces for the life of me. Must need a finer pin/more patience/better eyesight/more practice/more talent.

I had to front end my painting this month, as my wedding is June 19, and to my fiancee's relief, I won't be bringing any paints or models on the honeymoon.

It has been a lot of fun, this was one of the first actual GW models I bought, and I've been looking forward to painting it.

There are still some touch ups or changes I might do, if anyone has any ideas how to make it pop a little more, I'd love to hear them!

@jchaos79, thanks.  You commented in another thread that Marauders are very detailed and so take a long time to paint.  I agree with that! Going slow and steady towards the 30 June deadline.  I am not going to try anything fancy with them.  But hopefully multiple colours will give them a good 'irregular' look.  By snipping the stands I have been able to make 3 units from 2 blisters.

OK, I'm participating again after failing to post my models in time last month.
This month I'm going to finish painting a unit of spider riders, 3 units of Savage Orcs and possibly some Orc Characters.
I want to use these for the colchester event. I've got enough characters here to use, but the polar fox characters look so awesome I'm hoping to have some finished by then.
The spider riders will be finished later today or this week at most. Already begun on the savage Orcs.

I'll do the savage orcs with face paint, you can already see some I did a couple of weeks ago on the polar fox site. Bel was so kind to put the images I sent him up on his website. One will also have blue facepaint, the other 2 will have another color, probably orange. (I try to paint up with a colour scheme by brigade, not by unit, but a different weapon colour or a different shield or something still allows to identify the unit (For some of my skaven it's even a different shield marking)).

I'll post some WIP's, below are the first two. I don't have any on the spider riders though (Finished them yesterday, I'll just set up my photograph corner later this weekend and see to post them soon).

@all: thanks for the compliments.

@Bel: I'll make sure you get some high res pictures as with the other units. Note however these aren't finished yet. I still have some things to paint up and I also need to finishe the bases. I downsized these to upload them quickly. I'll set up my photobox once I've finished these and I'll post them in my entry.

@JChaos: Nice. What models are these?

Yes buddy. I'm not a fan of the "standing on its tail" design of all the GW dragons. I cut the chaos dragon up. Sculpted a tail. Cut the wings in half and glued them back together. Drinking ale watching footie at the moment but will post a pic when home!

Well, here it is the screaming bell finished

When I defined the goal of this tale I said that I could make a command stand. I thought that maybe I could take a spare figure of the screaming bell. But The skaven are really tiny so I used the 4 figures as crew of the carriocio.

Then I only have two pendraken figures left to make the command stand: a WW 2 desert rat with binoculars in his hand and no helmet and a robe dressed rat with a knife. It was difficult and thought to not make a command. But this morning I thought why do not make the sacrificial vignette of a pendraken amazon (·)(·) . I did a vignette similar for my dark elf army so I was not very confident to repeat the idea... then I change my mind and go for an assasination vignete. A hiden rat assasin sneak into the Empire campament to kill a Fire- Magician Priest or even a Elector Count.

Here is the vignette I am thinking. Any comment or improvement will be appreciated as always,

We are closing in on the end of june. I will close the window for applications sunday 3/7 so that we get that extra weekend to finish everything off. Then I'll start the vote on monday 4/7 and run that for a weeks time.

How are everyone doing? I have been so caught up with work and lots of overtime so havent had a chance to paint at all even on the weekends. Can hopefully get contribute to this month with something small at least :)

Well that was not a bad month at all. Advances of the month:

* I focus what I want for my skaven army.
I decide to go for a skaven army with strong colours avoiding the dirt, neutral, dark colour that used to be the most of skaven armies. Also after googling some picture, I decide that the most of my ratmen army will be bicolor or white.

* Painted 1 inf + 1 special and I could make a orignal command with only 1 rat.

* About quantity I will be more satisfied if I could make 4 units per month, but I fit to my foresee of 2unit+commnad

* I had a lot of fun painting.

POLL IS UP!
(You can see all the entries by searching for [ENTRY] in the search box on the top right of the page.)

Remember you might not see or be able to vote in the poll if viewing the forum on mobile devices. Poll will run for 3 days so dont forget to vote for you favourite entry this month.

16 contestants entered the ring but only 5 came out with something to show for it. Regardless of who gets the most votes the mountain of lead looks especially victorious this month. Draw your brushes and angrily shake your fists clutching pots of paints towards the heavens in preparation for glorious revenge this July! ;)

Cheers!

Oh well - To get the voting going I will start a brand new topic just for the poll and include all entries in that one.
