Title: Halved Tyranid launch bays
Post by: Hobodabobo on August 24, 2016, 03:09:46 PM
As you are probably aware, hive ships can add up to 3 launch bays per side. Do these add together for purposes of 'halving' weapons while on orders and crippled, or do they remain 3 separate launch bays of 1 strength?

Im inclined to say the first option, for reasons of balance and not being a douche, but the way you purchase side weapons is making me wonder. Thanks for the input.

Per the FAQ2010 you should go with the Styx example:
add both sides then half:

Thus a Hiveship with a total of 6 launch bays (3 per side) has 3 launch bays when halved.

Sounds like a plan. Thanks!

The only thing that would halve Tyranid launch bays would be Brace for Impact.  If a Tyranid ship is crippled, it cannot launch ordnance.
