We have started new campaign. It's map based campaign and we are trying to do it in narrative way. All the progress will be recorded here in this thread. Hope you gonna enjoy it :)
We are using our campaign rules you can find here: https://warmaster-cz.blogspot.cz/2016/11/warmaster-mighty-empires-campaign-rules.html (https://warmaster-cz.blogspot.cz/2016/11/warmaster-mighty-empires-campaign-rules.html)
There are few maps in the Empire on which one could find Agor isle. This small island not so far from the coasts of Old World lied long far away of interest of many. As far as myths can say, it was inhabited by elves ages ago. They built a high tower in the heart of the island and filled it with magic. Long time after they had left the island it was rediscovered by orc explorers who set a colony there. In present days, only mossy ruins of elven tower and orc idol carved into solid rock remind visitors of island's distand history. It's now inhabited by sparse loner communities spread accross the island who got used to peaceful rural life. But that is about to change. Recently the word spread that the mountains of the Agor isle are rich on precious metals and its valleys are still filled with powerful energy and magic. Dragged like by a magnet fleets are landing one after another along the coast, spewing adventurers, nobles and generals with their armies ready to battle their way to the precious and powerful resources. The conques of the Agor isle has just begun.
There are currently six leaders ready to grab as much of the islan's resources as possible:
Chaos leader Tore Bloodhorn with small skaven alied force (grey)
Toomb King Akhemthep II (blue)
Bretonnian general Godefroy Tirasse (yellow)
Orc warboss Gor'bul (green)
Arabian prince Nidal nib Anasu (red)
Kislevite general Boris Dolgorukij (orange)

Oh fab! I love things like this - this is exactly the kind of thing the original Warmaster rulebook encourages us to do. =)
-
looks fantastic
-
Be Careful there might by some forrest goblins on that Island. 8)
-
Insanely jealous. I've wanted to do this kind of campaign since Mighty Empires came out in 1990.
-
Thanx guys for comments.
The map has been updated to situation at the start of round 2. Hopefuly some more battlereps from round 1 will show up.
-
what software program is making that map? I'm a little new ME in general so I apologize if this is something everyone knows about.
-
That's my plastic map lying on Dreadfleet mat :-) The rest is done in Corel (Photoshop-like program).
-
Wow, that's pretty fantastic. The grid lines add just enough along with the dreadfleet mat and make it seem like its an electronically created image. Those coastal tiles throw me through a loop too as they "don't exist" in the plastic ME.
Good job! LOL
I attached mine, maybe ill get a dreadfleet mat myself, Ha
Me and my brother playing a "traditional" campaign. Testing out my rules to integrate full man o'war fleets and even heroquest adventures and hero duels during warmaster battles.
-
How have you done the coastal tiles? Is it just two sides of a river tile painted up or something else?!
-
CJ must be nice to add heroquest stuff. I can hardly find time for MoW battles.
Andy the sea is milled into the tiles using small drill.
-
my big push with heroquest stuff is in the duels....during warmaster battles your heroes, representing your heroquest heroes will duel on an 11x11 board and duke it out 1on1 via original heroquest rules. during testing I found that its actually really even and actually the spellcasters are the real killers. for warmaster it helps to killing off the heroes as I have yet to find a warmaster way of killing those guys off besides the basic suicide move of trying to gain one or 2 more attacks in a fight. It has taken a long time but me and my brother are finally figuring it out right now and ironing out the details. I was just trying to represent those huge fights in all of the warhammer books and filling out the final detail that a campaign is supposed to create, Character legends.
I will say I like your "digital" map as I cannot find enough village models from the river expansion sprue for those plastic ME tiles, I'm still about 10 shy. you can just place them electronically :P

I'm sure that it was originally ment as Dwarf brewery :-) That's why there is so few of them.
-
a dwarf brewery you say? that makes sense, I think of it as a grain silo. Ha! good to know.
I missed out on this when it was new so I only know what I've taught myself. I thought I had enough of them but me and my brother are rolling outstandingly well to find them. Pretty much every tile we uncover has a village joining our kingdom. If we were cheating they would be cities. :)
