issue: there's been some discussion and agreement, that Gyrocopter might get 360° view. You can find it here

Though I would say that the gyrocopter is being mis-used if it is being flanked, I would love it if my gyrocopters had 360 LOS.  I don't know if I could use it for anything other than when getting flanked so its not going to over power anything.

Come to think of it, only a unit missing a stand, could charge the flank and not get shot at.  corner to corner doesn't count in the traditional rules so I guess infantry could no matter the casualties, the first stand would cover the entire edge and the other stands would be in support just to NOT make as a target.

I support this rule change  ;)

Still far from convinced that it's needed if they are used carefully. I don't think it's a game-breaking change but is it really needed or justified? TBH if anything in the Dwarf army is broken and needs attention it is the Flame Cannon... 50pts for that Bad Boy is insanely cheap :(

Are you sure you are playing it correctly then ??

I played a LOT of games with my dwarves and getting a FC to work properly takes a lot of  foresight and accommodating dice-rolls....

I do not thing Flame Cannon is broken as long as its numbers are being restricted. It alters the tactics you need to do. If you want to bring it forward, you're moving slowly. If you team it up with cannons, you basically restrict them to being cannons protectors against frontal charge.
I played once against the young dwarfs using their full artillery points for the flame cannons, and in great concentration, it really was devastating. As long as they're restricted, I do not see a problem with them.

Now to the point: Gyrocopters LoS to be 360.
I like that idea. When you're moving behind the enemy lines, it is not rare to get charged from the flank or rear.

If you compare them to the Arabian flying carpets in the discipline of disturbing enemy behind their lines, the 360 LoS for Gyrocopters seems fair.
And nad Gyrocopters bring another tactical option for the Dwarfs with quite small range of units to pick from.
So for me, it is yes.

Which brings me to one more potential issue with both of these units (Gyrocopters and carpets) - the Last Ditch Dice rule. For example, if you manage to get to their rear, their stands still get all of their close combat attacks (1).

Don't forget the difference, that carpets have 15cm range, Gyro has 30cm. Making Gyro 360° is making it the only unit in WM with 30cm range and 360° view.

if the gyrocopter gets the vision all around upgrade maybe make it 80 or 85 points like the flying carpets but still only 1 stand vs. the carpets 3 to even it all out?

Don't forget the Last Ditch dice is one dice for the whole unit, not one per stand. So the Gyrocopter always rolls one dice in combat, even if reduced to 0 attacks. The carpets reduced to 0 attacks will only roll one dice, not three.
