just played a very enjoyable game of warmaster using the new revolution ruleset ( my goblins vs empireaddicts daemons) it went smoothly with only a few pauses to check rules, however I am concerned about the new rules for spear chukkas the extra dice to bring them in line with cannon works well (one dead chariot unit can attest to this), however when charged they keep the skewering ability unlike cannon who lose bounce and armour piercing if charged.
it didn't impact on our game (goblins broke daemons before artillery could be charged) however I can forsee some very disgruntled opponents when their knights bounce from a line of goblin artillery

I personally wouldn't worry much about that. Taking into account how superb cannons are in general for the points, allowing bolt throwers two extra attacks when being cahrged (and very likely wiped out) is not that big deal imo. I'd still take cannons before bolt throwers in my list if I had a choice.
