Hi there everyone,
Been lurking around on this forum for a while now ever since Sjapie tricked me into Warmaster ;D
Also collected a decent 2700 pts Lizardmen army and a few chaos units in the meanwhile and finally got round painting my first unit.
It is my first try on painting 10mm scale but i quite seem to like it ;D
Anyways, here is my first skink unit. Hope you guys like it ;)

NIce scheme, well executed

Nice paintjob!

Thanks Lex and Werthor.
Don't you recognize them anymore Werthor? :)
-
Lovely, nice and bright. Exactly what you need at this scale.
-
Yeah, really nice !
Some of the sprues you can separate, from my own experience. Without damaging the figsi mean. It could help bring some diversity on placements.
Colour is perfect for lizardmen, bright shiny colours.

Looking good!

Looking sharp!

Looking very nice

Thanks everyone for the nice comments.
They motivate me to keep painting.
I'll try and update this post now and then with newly painted mini's and the progress of my army
Now i'm working on some salamanders for my first skink unit.

Hard to believe they’re your first 10mm paint jobs, this is gorgeous work! Maybe give us a run through of how you paint them? Must be very different from 28mm? Cheers
-
I like the salamanders base. Brigh colours and beautifull base.
-
Great work on the frills.
-
Thanks for the compliments ;)
@Ragsta : what do you mean with a run through? more of a "how to" with step by step pics or just explain how i've painted them?
Just finished three other units of skinks last night.
Some group shots of the four units painted so far. (sorry for the crappy pics, it was late ;D )

Paiting job and basing is abovre any reproach.
As for the position of the figs, i understand you want a first line of blowpipes... But i think it gives a too big standardisation, for my part. Better more chaos.
But well, it's done and it will not change a lot the aspect during your games.
What do you plan to do next ?
Any character ?
-
Hehe, i just like the front rank woth all their blowpipes :)
Next up are 5 units of saurusses. Just to get all the core units finished first, then i get to paint the fun stuff :)
-
Absolutely beautiful! Well you know that in the AoS fluff the Lizardmen are the frontline of "Order" ha ha.

I understand, it's really credible the first rank is full of blowpipes.
But then, maybe you could separate the two skinks and change the rear one. You would really gain something and it's not difficult to do.
