Every year, I try to make a list of Goals I want to accomplish in the following year with my wargaming hobby. It is nothing to intense and helps guide my decisions about money and time as I go through the year.
I took a look back at my list, and evaluated my progress in July, and now that it is the end of the year it is time to look at it again!

Overall, this was a good year for my hobby, even if my typical Peak Season in Novemebr through March has not really panned out that way yet. I got to play a lot more games than I have in the past, finished some of my own writing projects, and picke dup a game or too. When I turn to the Painting and modelling front things fall down. Oh well!
Here are some game shots....

So, how about you? How was your year? Did you get a lot done? What was a stand-out moment?

A slightly below average year on painting progress I believe but I did manage to finally bag the Swedish championship title in Warmaster. A year that will be remembered in other words. :)

Alas, a strong start for me where I managed to paint an entire Dark Elf army for Warmaster and some odds and ends got bogged down with distractions and moving house.
Not sure what the new year will bring in terms of hobby stuff - depends on what is popular at the local gaming club.

my year was rather awkward.....the wife had a lot of problems and dealt with them very badly that put me and our 2 boys through a lot until I finally kicked her out and filed for a divorce in June.....after that, my hobbies took off again! LOL
I started small with building a box to store a lot of warmaster odds and ends including my siege equipment and then finished re-boxing my heroquest board game.
By September I busted out my NIB Orc and Goblin army for warmaster and started painting. In Early October I gobbled up an entire fleet of Orc ships for Man O'War and promptly painted those and made the storage for them and their warmaster armies. I painted up 2 rock lobbers, a giant, all orc heroes minus the wyvern and I have 2 units of black orcs started. Very happy to have gotten the Orc fleet done for a new years eve night game.
Lots of personal stuff got in the way but the second half of the year has allowed me to really push hard with my hobbies and make up for it. HA!

I managed to sort out my collection and rearrange all HeroQuest stuff I hoarded over the years. Finally ready to play again.
Nearly completed painting a Goliath Necromunda gang. But hey, I still have 2 days in 2017!
I did play a couple of Blood Bowl test games. Would have been nicer if I played a championship...
Goals for 2018: paint at least one more Gang and play more games instead of building/painting.
Happy holidays!

I kind of drifted away from SG games a bit this last year because I was sucked into painting up a large 40K army (Drukhari) and also got into some Bolt Action WW2.
I did paint up some Epic 30K stuff (Death Guard) but haven't played much with it yet.
I also wrote some 6mm scale WW2 micro armour rules which are in the early stages of being proof read and will be play tested later this year.
I hope to get back into some 6mm fantasy later this year....
Happy New Year everyone. May your dice roll true.
