Title: Charging, and moving the last stand in a unit.
Post by: Toothpick on April 05, 2018, 11:06:32 AM
Hi,

I have a quick question concerning where charging stands can be moved to. The easiest way for me to ask is by attaching a pdf file with drawings to help ask the question.

Thanks,
Shane

Either position is legal. You just need to make sure the stand doesn't move more than it's allowed to, so 4 would be legal if the last stand can't get to 5 with the move it has.

Interesting, it must be fig 5.  Move one stand center to center, then maximise the frontage. I have not got the full wording here, but I'm sure that is the case to avoid manovers where you try and charge only 1 or 2 stands. I know your example is slightly different as you are talking about LOS of the last stand.  I'm pretty sure if 1 stand has LOS then the whole unit can charge and get into base contact (maximise the frontage).

The unit has to have a LOS after that each stand can move to a position within its movement range. And has to be fig 5 because of maximizing the front, as clawlessdragon said.
