A while back I bought some metal nurglings from eBay and thought they'd make great demons not realising that this was a somewhat less than original thought. Never mind, they look
great. Finding other suitable bits is tricky but I'm getting there.
The tzeentch horde has taken a back seat until I get this lot a bit further down the track.
First up is a sorcerer. This is from Reaper Bones demon 3 pack.
I want to use hounds and chariots for this army to differentiate from the Tzeentch outfit. Buying chaos hounds packs would be too expensive so I'm trying to source suitable rats, fleas etc. Any ideas welcomed here as there will be quite a few required.

Oooh, what a maggoty little fella! Nice!
-
The other sorcerer. The torso and legs are from a 15mm flying demon, the arm from blue horror, head from blight kings I think.
-
amazing sorcerer
been thinking about and trying to source conversion bits for nurgle demons myself the last week, so this is very motivating!
-
Amazing work !
You made a wonderfull nurgle wizard, really.
Do you plan to paint it soon ?
-
I need to finish the painting off Marel, maybe the weekend. I've made a couple of swarms and 7 units of nurgle daemons which I need to sort out photos for. Flyers shouldn't take long either. Chariots are proving a bit tricky as I want 4 units and the prospect of making them all from scratch is a bit daunting. Also haven't found hounds I'm 100% happy either.
-
photos still pending but finished off 7 units and scratch built a couple of nurglings.
At Warfare in Reading I found these:

got a couple of units of these and a few more aliens xenomorph types from Pendraken. vanguard also have demonic hounds out now which is positive. I want to make at least one trial chariot stand and a unit of hounds before Xmas.

I can't reach the pages on the links ?

They work for me. Has your Mrs put the parental controls on?
-
Still not working... :(
I will ask her majesty and beg for mercy ;)

Nurgle overlord on his way.
-
Lovely! (Or should I say sickening?)
Nice work.

Wonderfull ! Excellent !
Love all the details you have added everywhere. It will be perfect as a general for your army.
-
wonderfully gribbly
-
Overlord of Nurgle in search of 20 Bensons. Taken with new light box and phone camera which I haven't quite come to grips with yet.
-
Yeah ! It will make a perfect great lord, indeed.
I would have painted the eye differently from the skin, heh ?
-
Hordes.
-
more hordes
-
and yet more hordes

One unit yet to be photographed. The models are a mixture of nurgling generations, some magister rotted demons, ghouls and apes(with mods) There might be a few other bits thrown on there as well. The majority of nurglings were bought as a job lot off ebay which cost about £40 but turned to be top value as, with a few added units, I've got 8 infantry and 4 chariot units. Just need to get the hounds sorted, paint another unit of flyers and I'm done. More photos later.
-
Oh very nice stands !
Nurglings are expensive... I had tried to catch some on ebay but they always went up for a too expensive price for me. I mighty have to review my point of view on that...
Could you gice us the links to the other sutff you mentionned ?

Nurgle chariots. These were a bit of a chore but got there in the end. Chariots themselves were the remains of a packet of magnum choccie ice-creams. Then the chassis was built up with either green stuff or a few old beastmen shields, I wanted an organic look like the chassis were 'bred' in the garden of Nurgle and the original intention was to paint them green but there can be too much of a good thing and sense won the day. Wheels are a press mold from some of the blue stuff I got on Amazon - for a much better price than specialist model shops.
The charioteers are the usual mix of MM and Warhammer Nurglings. Colouring in photos is all over the show as I've been trying different photo settings.
-
2nd detachment with close up of leader who has scratch built beastie and needs 4 wheels as befits his monstrosity.
-
Excellent !! I love the general feeling. The alien is fun :)
Everything is between Cthulhu and Stranger Things and i like that very much.
-
Very nasty, I like it!
-
Wow. Fantastic work.
-
Nurgle daemon hounds.
-
Excellent ! More Nurgle than Khorne, but really great stuff :)
