I believe it is now 8mm so possibly not in scale with the older stuff.

Also, only 5(?) altitude bands, but damage for exceeding the max speed. 

The how to play video on www.aeronauticaimperialis.com is very good.

It's in scale with the new Adeptus Titanicus, which is 7mm scale at best, or around 1/270. I've seen comparison pics around with old and new planes. The new planes are definitely bigger compared to the previous FW ones, but not by that much.

I never got to play (or collect) the original, so I'm super excited.  :D

Yes, it looks like they are really huge, too big for Epic maybe?  Although the Ork craft might be OK?

I see the prices are as eye-wateringly expensive as you'd expect from Games Workshop!  >:( >:(
