I run a gaming club in cornwall. And this week had my first taste of BFG and loved it.
For 40K I have a large Tyranid army and would like to expand them into space.
But I have no idea where to start.
I know almost nothing about the game or weapons yet.
Where should I start with the Tyranids?
Which ships? Which weapons ect?
All help is welcome

Hello Hendy bager,
The Nid fleet list is a bit of a mess, the official version can be found in the Armada publication. These rules are poorly pointed because of the customization options.
You can either use these rules and agree with your opponents whether or not you can start with camapign upgrades or not, or you can use an unofficial ruleset like the one in Warp Rift issue 16 http://www.epic40k.co.uk/bfgmag/index.html (http://www.epic40k.co.uk/bfgmag/index.html).
But as you are new to the game I would recomend using a more normal fleet.
Cheers,

Than perhaps you start by lending a fleet or use proxy ships the first times untill you think you know enough about the rules to have a try with Tyranids. They are no fleet for beginners, start with learning the rules and than go on with the fleet you like.
