Brigade Orders ?

I m just getting into the game and have  a few queries on brigade orders if any one can help.

I m ordering a brigade to charge, is it legal to give the order and only charge 3 units and not move one or do they all have to be in contact with each other at the end of the phase. Say for example I end up with 3 cavalry and 1 infantry units together. I order the brigade to charge. Can I charge the 3 cavalry units and leave the infantry unit behind or does it have to move and end its turn in contact with at least one of the suits?

You can split off units OFF the brigade on a charge. Any units that are NOT in contact with enemy NEED to be in contact with other units from the "brigade" they were ordered with. And remember that the units NOT in H2H can actualy be ordered again (as a brigade, with appropriate modifiers for subsequent orders and nearness to enemy etc)
