This is what I've currently got for my Undead army, all Evil Empire except where indicated:
7 x Skeletons
7 x Bowmen (4 using Kallistra figures)
2 x Cavalry
3 x Chariots
1 x Carrion
1 x Bone Giant
2 x Sphinx
1 x Skull Chukka
1 x Bone Thrower
1 x Tomb King
4 x Liche Priests
2 x Liche Chariots
A total of 25 units/2305 points.
I've got a few odd figures from old GW chariot sets that would give me enough command type figures to create a few more basic skeleton units if I bought some minis from Kallistra or Pendraken. I could quite easily add an extra 8 skeleton and 10 bowmen units to push the army total to just shy of 3000 points and have a total of 43 units. BIG break point but lots of quite weak units - Skeletons being very easy to paint, black undercoat, dry-brush bone and pick out weapons/shields/clothing as required.
On the other hand, would I have a more rounded/battle-worthy force if I bought things like Bone Giants, Skull Chukkas or Bone Throwers off E-bay?
In short - "What makes a good Undead Army?"
Any thoughts/comments appreciated guys, thanks in advance
