« on: December 01, 2013, 10:53:44 PM »
I've been playing this laods latley and trying different mods, but then started fiddleing about with things, worked out how to add units in and next thing you know i'm building a full on mod

does anyone else play this game and would you be

A. interested in testing my mod for balance

B. happen to know how to get the icons showing up

C. what do you think would be a cool thing to add in

mostly adding more units in to ad a bit more variety to the fleets, i'm also trying to get a few more ground units in

Imperials: more clone wars era units at tech 1 and 2, i don't know how to stop them from being avalible leter on, but a well

Rebels: just more units in general, i've given them a "rebelfied" venator, maybe frow in some old CIS ships at early tech levels

Consortium: again like the rebels more stuff in general, their ground troops are already pretty good so i'm concentrating on the fleet, more frigates and light cruiser type things. they've also got a pirate venator and i'm making a consortiumified Admiralty class today

yeah i've got two clone wars mods, I've asked the people making Republic at war if i can use their AT-TE, but now response so far

right now theres only me working on this so between work and house jobs i don't have a massive about of time to do a full conversion, my aim is to add units for more variety and try to make the early tech levels resemble what was avialble during the rise of the Empire

should manage to get a 0.5 up this week, once i've edited the master text file and done a readme

still haven't figured out how to get the unit icons working though

I was just wondering what the actual point was, if there is already a full conversion out there. I suppose the transition between the two eras would have some interesting combinations of tech, and might indeed warrant a mod of its own.

Personally I had an idea for a 40k standalone (if one could convince GW's people to make it). Did a cursory look at the sort of units and lore involved, and it would probably work rather well.

there was an attempt made, but the mod has been abandoned half way through and they won't upload the models ect for others to use, nor will they send it them (spiteful barstools)

a 40K one would be awsome, shame no-one else has done it, i think there is one for Sins of a Solar Empire or whatever its called

Is there any BFG mod for this game? Or for Sins of a Solar Empire?

I don't have it as yet, but it looks fairly good. Apologies for the slight derail.
