That is providing I can get samples and they scale up ok.

I like your thinking, but I've had bad experiences with Kallistra. I got some vikings and Mongols to use for Warmaster and they were way too big to rank up alongside my GW, Pendraken, Magister Militum, TB Line, Copplestone, Steve Barber etc. They're 12mm or slightly larger and I'm too pernickety to tolerate mismatched troops!

Also I notice you're in West London. Are you playing regularly? Because I'm in North London and have been gameless for several years.

I have to say that I tolarate very well the diferences of siezes in 10mm. But Kallistra historical is too much for me. I agree with dry ease, maybe Kallistra historical could be oversieze.

It's a shame, because they're nice sculpts and they have a good range.

Well I shall let you know my findings. I'm hoping at least the cavalry will work as even GW sculpts are often out of scale with the inf in the same army.

Think I might take a mini or two to colours with me to check scales in the blisters. I know kallistra and pendraken dwarves are MASSIVE!

One of the guys in our group has a couple of Kallistra armies and on the table they look fine against other WM armies.

I have a few Kallistra figures - and generally I don't use them in the same armies as my GW/Pendraken/Copplestone/Magister Militium figures as they look too big as a single unit in an army.

Its strange that for an opposing force you don't notice the size difference, but for your own troops you do. Or perhaps it is because the opposing army is uniform, therefore it looks coherent.

One place I have used Kallistra figures is to add some Light Cavalry to my Empire forces - the GW Empire knights are huge and Kallistra looks good against them.

Early GW units seem pretty large, like Empire Knights.  Dark Elf riders are incredibly slight / flimsy compared with the earlier Silver Helm sculpts.

Hi Dry_Erase - apologies for not replying to your question about my location.

I am in West London, as in WAY out west near Heathrow. I'm as far west as your get without it being farmland.

I'm currently not very far into a dwarf army so I'm not playing regularly and won't be until I have 1000 pts painted up. Not sure how long that will take with other commitments but happy to play as soon as I have an army!

I just thought I'd post a few size comparison pics as Pendraken were kind enough to send me some samples...

Some horse archers, left to right: GW (provided by Stormwind thanks mate!), Pendraken Polish Horse Archer; Pendraken Mounted Cossack; Pendraken Mongol Archer. In my opinion the Mongol Archer is too small and won't mix well with the Polish codes as Kislev Horse Archers.

L to R: GW Empire Knight; GW Kislev General; Pendraken Winged Hussar. The Pendraken code is noticeably smaller than the (massive) GW cavalry especially the horse. Although I think that in units the Pendraken codes won't look out of place as long as the majority of the army is the same scale.

Another shot of the HA with an extra mongol archer. I think this also illustrates that the mongol codes are perhaps a little too small.

Just for scale, this a Kallistra wizard who ranks up not too badly next to this Empire hero.

And some inf. Three from the left are all GW codes, two on the right are Pendraken cossack axeman and a Hadjuk 10th man halberdier. Note I have bent the arm of the halberdier just to see how easy it was. One of the problems with Pendraken is that the majority of their historical lines are one sculpt codes. I think the unit will look strange with every single figure pointing!! Hope this helps...
