Removing Shooting Casualties: Clarification
« on: January 25, 2017, 11:28:16 AM »
I thought shooting casualties were removed at end of the shooting phase.

But Page 31 of the rules pdf.
"Once a unit has taken a number of hits equal to its Hits value, remove a
stand immediately."
"If a unit is shot at by several enemies during the Shooting phase it may take further hits and the total
may mount up. Remove stands as casualties occur and record any hits left over as appropriate."

That seems to suggest order of shooting now becomes important since stand removal might effect what targets are visible/closest.

Am I reading this correctly?

Yes.

Order of shooting AND order of stand removal can be crucial as well placed removal may place a unit to be out of range OR force them to target a different target
