Forge World Stock
« on: June 15, 2009, 05:13:39 PM »

This came up on Tactical Command, since it relates mostly to Epic. However, some other items are affected, such as Warmaster. Forge World appear to be winding down a number of lines, Epic and Warmaster amoung them. No notice was given about this, and some things have just been removed from the web store. The latest word is that certain, less profitable, lines are being withdrawn and only current stocks will be sold. Once they are gone, thats it. There is a small chance of a reintroduction after an evaluation, but I wouldnt hold my breath.

If you want stuff from FW, get it while you can.

I noticed the other day all the warmaster stuff had gone.
They have been letting this stock deplete and not remaking any of the older sets.
I know some of their earlier WM stuff goes for a great deal on eBay but they struggle to cover costs on their site :(
A sad day, I was hoping for a re-release of the orc village.

For the record I received an email and they state that Battlefleet Gothic stays.

Wow, man. That sucks! I was (at least) hoping to get my hands on a couple Warhounds, as the Forge World ones are infinitely better than the Citadel ones...

It's amazing how much stock is gone. I looked today, and they have virtually nothing! Even their fantastic Epic terrain is almost gone...

End of their mail:

Rest assured, however, that the Battlefleet Gothic range is, and
will continue to be, still available.

Any more info on that? What will be returning, when and why they suddenly change their mind :) etc.

"The majority" is what I have been told by a FW staffer.

No idea when, but some returning items are already in the FW warehouse, apparently.

Some specifics I asked about:

- Warhound Titans - both sets returning.
- Tau -  "all infantry" returning. Railgun Hammerhead returning. Ion Cannon Hammerhead *not* returning. Drone turrets *not* returning.
- Anything marked as "CURRENTLY OUT OF STOCK" on the website at this moment will be returning. Excepting that silly bunker typo, no doubt.

Feel free to phone up and ask the sales team for more specifics, they can now check the system and see within seconds which models are returning.
