How different is it from flightdecks in BFG, Star Wars, Robotech, etc?

True, but there are proper examples out there.....

Battlestart G.  Dedicated launchbays with a turboboost to get them up speed and they (normally) land in the sidenacells.

Robotech I seem to remember something akin to the flightdeck of a waterbased carrier?

It was meant as a constructive remark, it would be nice to see something nore geared towards that classic carrier approach

In both shows fighters wouldn't fly on curved flight paths. Now Babylon 5 was more like it. Don't get me wrong I love me some space ship sci fi.

With BFG cruisers being 3000 - 5000 metres and fighters no more then 100 metres it will all work out in the end. :)

I was going to go buy one, but unfortunately I spotted the price-tag. €30, I think not.  :-[

I noticed that yeah. I've been trying to bring printing costs as low as possible and keep the markup insanely low, but it's a tough one.

I'll try to solve this in the coming days, which will probably mean they'll be sold in squadrons. The price tag will go up, but you'll might even pay up to 30-40% less.

Would printing one and casting it yourself not be more cost-efficient? It looks like it'll cast well enough if you do a two-part mould with left and right halves?

I don't have the time and resources to cast and sell my designs, hence me doing it through Shapeways for the time being.

I think a mid/long term goal of this would be that I collaborate with a company/caster/producer, so that I do the designs and they take care of production and distribution.

At the moment the models are back at the drawing table, Shapeways notified me that some parts can't be printed, so I have to tweak them a bit. They'll be available again tomorrow.

The Martinet and Absolutist are both available again. The antenna have been removed, and some parts have been thickened up.

Whilst strong & flexible plastics are available options, I would recommend Frosted Detail or Frosted Ultra Detail.
