How are you mounting them, there?  Plasticard?

And is that miliput you're using for hills?

Are those all Leven models?

Yes, I use plasticard to base them on, modelling clay from the toy store to make the hills, and Leven Miniatures buildings on them. I will use cheap wood-filler to smooth out the ground, then use normal basing stuff to create a texture (PVA-glue + sand)

Thanks! This will be the whole urban terrain for now, after painting the houses I'll focus on the board, and terrain features like hills.

The trees look great. What flock did you use or is it clump foliage?

Thanks! The trees are indeed made with clump foliage, the hedgerows are made out of strips of green scouring pad. :)

I hadn't even noticed the hedgerows, I thought they were part of the cast model! They look great too!

One last thing on the trees; what did you use to texture the trunk? Is it just some milliput or something over the copper wire?

Ah yes. :)

The whole process for the trees was:

- make a twisted metal wire armament
- glue to plastcard base
- cover with wood filler and let dry
- PVA+ sand mixture to cover the base
- spray paint black, and paint the whole thing
- make a mixture of pva glue, water and flock and attach clumps of it with superglue to the trees.

It took a while, since I was rather busy, but I have finished the village:

Excelent. Maybe roofs are a little bit too blue for me, but the painting uality and choince of tunes are really good apart that. And it's only my opinion :)

Again, i like mud painting.
