[BFG] Battlefleet Eschataris

So I have been working on a BFG fleet for a little while now, well more like about five or six years actually, and I am finally getting to the point where it is almost finished. Its technically half a fleet, the whole of which is Battlefleet Eschataris, which I am making with radu lykan (another member on here). It will be the sector fleet of the Eschataris sector, which is the sector that we made up between us which links together all of our current and future armies in our fluff, most of which is yet to be written.

I don't get that much time for the hobby now so its taken me far too long to get to this point and now the finish line is in sight I need something to spur me on. Radu suggested that a fresh new log on here may just do the trick. So here it goes, I will start with my half fleet list:

3 Firestorm Class Frigates: Slayer, Eliminator, Repressor

3 Cobra Class Destroyers: Impetuous, Unstoppable, Zealot
3 Cobra Class Destroyers: Overkill, Disciple, Mortis
3 Falchion Class Escorts: Septuris, Havoc, Decimator
2 Falchion Class Escorts: Quadrafur, Lumix
3 Viper Class Missile Destroyers: Murath, Vinoth, Folta

Combined with radus half it makes for a total of 82 ships. I have taken a lot of in progress pictures over the years but ill just give you a selection to show what I have been up to:














So that was where I was up to a few months ago. As you will hopefully have noticed from the pics our colour scheme is white with a red prow. Then each class of ship will have a different coloured trim, gold for battleships, silver for cruisers and bronze for escorts. Since then I have worked on two particular ships which I will go into a little more detail about (ill post that another time as I am off out now), then there was a mad dash to assemble the last couple of battleships.

Very nice collection and idea, It would be nice to built my imperial fleet with someone .

Even if it is a small sector (shipswise) unless your friend have a lot more you should definetly do a shiryard.

you finally did it! good to see you getting more work done on these, really looking forward to the entire fleet pic, hopefully in january?
harec, i have a ramilies, a counts as imperial blackstone conversion, and various space stations still to paint but something the size of that ship yard will probably just have to stay in the fluff

I think I know someone who could build and cast such a beast... However, at best guess, that'd be a few hundred quid in resin right there... Moreover, it'd take up the table. All of it.

Looking good!  I think that super fortress is a bit ambitious though ;-)

Check out Warp Rift 27 for some really big Tau bases. I imagine that it can be done for Imperials as well.

what do you reckon horus? do we need a ship yard as well?  that looks to be easily 10 times the mass of a ramilies
