Whenever people nay-say this - they point out that GW is a company with shareholders to worry about and say they would only do things that make sense to increase that profit.

To them I say - they were dumb enough to make Dreadfleet - so anything is possible... ;-P

I can only hope that, with 40k accounting for roughly 65-70% of all sales and the immense upsurge in popularity, they'll start bringing back 40k-related specialist games, like Epic and BFG.

Held some hope for a BFG release for Xmas and we all know how that turned out

It's very unlikely.  A one off boxed set is the only possibility that I would suggest happening, and even that seems a remote possibility.  A lot of this is just recycled rumours from last year.

I was just thinking - GW might do something really weird.  No one predicted Dreadfleet - a game of Man o War at the wrong scale with loads of weird plastic bits.

What if they did Epic in 10mm? If they did that - they would be able to make super detailed kits to take advantage of plastic mould expense and would accordingly charge a bomb for Warhounds the size of 40k dreadnoughts and 4 packs of Space Marine tanks.  If they did it in 30k era to match FW it would be ALL space marines, all the time.

That's the kind of bonkers decision I would expect from GW nowadays.

there is no chance this is happening, there is a 12-page discussion over on the tactical command forum basically consisting of everyone agreeing that it's not being re-released, but it would be great if it was, but it won't be and there are lots of other 6mm manufacturers filling the void etc etc etc

I'd be overjoyed to be proven wrong, but this is just fan-wishlisting at heart I'm sure

There's nothing new there than the previous rumour.  I still remain to be convinced that anything is going to come of this, but even if it does, it would just be a one off boxed set, not a relaunch.
