Combat in wood
« on: October 18, 2009, 10:59:51 AM »
hy another little question, orc warrior attacking  1 dwarf thunder in wood . First round orc hit on 5 and don't get charge bonus ok. If the orc win the round and pursue the enemy inside the wood what happened?
All the unit hits the other on 5? or they hit normally on4 ? the orc can get the bonus for pursuing inside the wood?

- When Dwarf retreat they loose defended status, so all combat is normal.
- when pursuit of fleeing enemy, you get PURSUIT bonus instead of CHARGE bonus, PURSUIT bonus does NOT look where you fight, just how far enemy fled

ok thanks lex , and for hill how do you play in your games , for example my hills are just a raised plain ; so if i put unit on the edge of mountain they are upper than enemy but if they lost combat ,and are pursuited, all are on the same level. the next combat then i considered no defense bonus. Is this a right method to use hill or is better to count defender on upper level (and so hit them on 5) until they reach the crest ?(or the medium line of the scenic)

This is always dependant on the actualy scenery. IN events it is good practice to discuss this with opponent before game (even if Event organisation HAS put up scenery rules  ::) )

Just remember to apply visibility rules to the "edge" of plateau-like hills, outside visibility -->  no LOS -->  no shooting/charging
