Ebay is your best bet I picked up an unboxed one yesterday for £17.99 most places seem to charge £27.99. I bought it to see what it's like in flesh as it where as I'm very tempt to do the Gates of Volganof from the 8th edition rulebook in 10/15mm scale and the flat panel nature of these maybe perfect for the job. It's about time I did some proper scenery.

EDIT: just checked ebay you lot have been busy most of them are now gone!

They're the ones.
I bought a castle and a fortress for maximum options.

If you hunt about, you may get them a bit cheaper :)

Wow that castle is brilliant, i love it.  ;D

On this site i've also seen a trebuchet http://www.netmerchants.co.uk/product.php/2265/859/trebuchet this is also 1/72 scale. My friend needs a few for his bretonnian army.
But i've looked up that scale and it says that's for 25mm models. Is that correct?

Should i be looking for 1/161 scale?

Here's what i think are the correct scales....

54mm = 1:32 scale
45mm = 1:35 scale
28mm = 1:64 scale
25mm = 1:72 scale
20mm = 1:76 scale
15mm = 1:100 scale
12mm = 1:144 scale
10mm = 1:161 scale
6mm = 1:300 scale

"O" (1:48), "HO" (1:87), and "N" (1:160) scale are popular among model railroad hobbyists.

Scale can be a bit strange with gaming figures Warmaster is a bit bigger than N scale which itself isn't exactly a set scale ranging fom 1/140 to 1/160 different countries can have different definitions of scale.  I've used N scale stuff without to much issue it's just a little small. 1/72 scale is 1 inch = 6 feet so 25mm scale is about right the thing about the castle is it doesn't really matter once it looks right there is nothing to particularly throw it off scale the blocks might look a bit big but then that happens in real life as well. It would probably help to shorten the height of the doors and ramparts and as the pieces are thin plastic thats not a problem.

A 1/72 Trebuchet would be to big for warmaster

Old Glory do 10mm scale siege weapons:

http://www.oldgloryuk.com/disp_item.php?c=343&oc=4162
http://www.oldgloryuk.com/disp_items.php?c=343

I don't own one I scratch built mine from plasti strips (http://s6.photobucket.com/albums/y244/davejc/Warmaster/Brettonians/?action=view&current=Treb.jpg) but I've heard the Old Glory one is quite a bit larger than the brettonian Trubuchet but still "in scale"

Donnington miniatures also do one but it's 15mm scale you can see it with a 15mm figure next to it here: (it towers over him)

99mm tall http://shop.ancient-modern.co.uk/art46-giant-trebuchet-height-99mm-mal-voisin-1957-p.asp
65mm tall http://shop.ancient-modern.co.uk/art45-large-trebuchet-height-65mm-1956-p.asp

Irregular minitures do a 6mm Trebuchet that would work with 10mm. They also do a 15mm but not a 10mm for some reason

http://www.irregularminiatures.co.uk/ click on 6mm or 15m at the bottom of the screen.

There's a good article on making a trebuchet here http://www.roundtable-bretonnia.org/index.php?Itemid=31&id=29&option=com_content&task=view the principles are the same just smaller.

Right I've finished modifying this reply sorry if your trying to read it and I keep updating it things just kept coming to mind

I'm not sure whether to thank DaveC or curse him! I was going to buy that castle tomorrow (having just returned from Warhammer World without buying a single toy!). Probably for the best, if any more parcels come through my door I'll get into trouble!  ;D

Magister Millitum has a new range of castles and walls in 15mm. They might be usefull.
