Problems with woot3.com
« on: May 13, 2009, 07:52:41 PM »
Hello guys,

I was concerned about a large order I placed with woot3.com. I ordered my stuff on 3/11 and still don't have anything but empty promises. Has anyone else dealt with this company?

Uh-oh! Is this 'New Wave' all over again? Sorry mate, I have no clue, I've never ordered from these guys before, as my FLGS can get me all the miniature game stuff I need, and I don't order online unless I'm stuck in a game-less city in South Western Germany.

Heard that they got into trouble or something, it was a GW employee using his staff discount and then re-selling..

Well that is bad news. We don't have a GW store closer than 1 hour away, so I do most of my buying online. I am in the US and this place is based in the UK so I am not sure what my recourse is, but from one gamer to another be careful. Some times things too good to be true are just that.

I used a debit card with a mastercard logo on it. My mistake just so everyone knows the bank cannot do a charge back on that type of card. This would have been my first ever charge back and I guess it is a 200+ dollar lesson. Always use a real credit card to protect yourself. If anyone knows of any other options please share. I just cannot think of anywhere that has jurisdiction around the planet LOL.

go to your bank and explain the situation, they can have you fill out a form to reverse the charges, there might be a fee involved.

EDIT:  i have done this myself they can reverse charges if it is fraud, and not getting something u ordered can fall under the fraud thing. Even if it is a debit card there are certain rights and protections that you do have. ...at least try what have you got to use.

That sucks, man. I also make it a habit to really only use websites with Paypal.
