SHOOTING

Keen Senses: Warrior may charge and shoot at hidden enemies as though they were not hidden. (The target is still hidden to everyone else.) – If warrior is a Wizard he may also target them with spells.
(Cianty also has a good idea on this, see seperate thread.)

Jaeger: Warrior adds +1 to the Strength of his weapon when shooting at Animals. (Not Mounts or Monsters.) - (Pistols fired in close combat are not affected.)

ACADEMIC

Animal Trainer: At the start of each battle nominate one Animal (not mount or monster) in your warband. That animal has +2 WS this battle. (Applies even if warrior is missing the battle.)

Apothecary:  Warrior is Immune to Poison, suffers no Side Effects when taking Drugs, and may ignore the effects of a single Nervous Condition Injury (33).

Break Concentration: Enemy Wizards (not Priests) within 6” of warrior suffer -1 to all spellcasting rolls. (Not active while knocked down or stunned.) – (Requires line of sight.) – (Multiple instances of Break Concentration stack.)

Stablemaster: All Mounts (not animals or monsters) in the warband are only lost on post-game injury rolls of 1. (Applies even if warrior is missing the battle or dies the same post-battle sequence.) – (No affect on the injury roll of mounted Hired Swords.)

STRENGTH

Skinner
: Warrior adds D6 gc to the warband’s stash each time he takes an Animal or Monster out of action in close combat. (Applies even if warrior is later taken out of action himself.)

Heavy Pull: Warrior adds +1 Strength and the ‘Concussion’ rule to all shots fired with Bow (any kind). Cannot be combined with the ‘Quick Shot’ skill. (Treat injury rolls of ‘2’ as stunned.)

There are some interesting ones but why +1 S to shooting an animal?

Jaeger: I can see the logic (it's the 'find the weak spot on animals').  Another option is crit on 5+.  Personally, I think it should work on mindless monsters too (rat ogres, trolls, etc.)

Stablemaster: I really like this one.  Permission to use it for the Athel Loren "Bretonnian Chapel Guard" warband?

Heavy Pull: I agree with the 'cannot be used with Quickbow'.  I think the +1 strength AND the concussion makes it very strong, though. (although, compared to Quickshot+crossbow, it's STILL weak... but that does not stop it from being good.)  Again, permission to use in Athel Loren, in whatever final form you decide upon?

IDEAS
Alchemist: Acad - With wyrdstone, may transmute metal into gold, or into finer versions of rare alloys. Always sell wyrdstone at one value less than your warband size.  Also, once per post game, you may choose to transmute any metal weapon in your warband into Ithilmar or Gromril, or may attempt to transmute a suit of heavy armor into Ithilmar or gromril armor.  Roll 1D6:
1 - The transmutation failed miserably! The weapon/armor is now discarded
2-5 Worked well - You may now upgrade the weapon/armor to ithilmar or gromril without rolling for rarity. You must deduct from your treasury money equal to the difference in prices (for example, a gromril armor from a heavy armor costs 100gc to upgrade).
6 - The item is transmuted perfectly, for no cost.

Herbalist: take a look at the Wood Elf Thread.

Tailor: How's this:
In each post game, choose a simgle item below, and roll 1D6 to see if your tailor can build it. Any item built in this way cannot be sold, either by you or by any player who may receive the item as a gift or stolen goods.

-Raincoat/Greatcoat - Built on 2+
-Toughened Leathers - 2+
- Cloak - 4+ (adds +1 armor, to a max of 1+. Cannot be used with raincoat or any cloaks: middenheim, sea dragon, leather cape, elven cloak, forest cloak, etc.)
- Cathayan Silks - 6+

look up the OOOOLD 'Hatter' Hired sword from the devil's den contest, that was fun.
