Those look great. Does the snow stuff look wet in real life?

The snow is hard to describe.  I use a small (knackered) paint brush to dip it out and put it on and wet the brush to try and tamp down the snow and make it settle into the pumice grit base rather than float on top.

I experimented with using 'Ardcoat to try and make the snow look more like slush but it didn't work.  I'm sure the right varnish or medium might succeed in that, though.

Righto, finally polished off ten stands of Grey Hunters, with a Wolf Guard leader and a Wolf Priest to boot!

This means I finally have the core of an Epic UK SW army done - two Great Companies of 8 stands each.

I am polishing off some Skyclaws and then want to get to grips with some smaller vehicles. <3

Finally got an excuse to work on some Empire.

I've painted more but I need to varnish and add some green scatter to a few then I'll have the beginnings of an army to show off.

OK so this is not quite Specialist Games but I have been painting some LOTR, a good system that I had dismissed for the longest time.

These are some 3rd party models from Unreleased Miniatures who have an interesting mix of proxies for GW profiles that either are out of print or never got an official GW model option.

Nice models, great bases as well.

Actually LotR are the only miniatures I kept next to my BFG collection.
