The wizard looks great! (like very thing else :) )

Could it be that you painted the scarfs on the silver helms' helmets (by accident) in metallic colors?

Yeah, really nice. I like your contrasts very much, as said. Go on in that way.

Yes mate, you're absolutely right. I actually thought it was a metal part of the helmet, so deliberately didn't paint it red, however after you brought it to my attention I had a closer look and now realise it is part of the scarf. So I have now painted it red and it looks better. Thanks for bringing it to my attention :)

I finished off painting these guys today and got them glued to their bases. I'll finish of the basing tomorrow. Pretty happy with how they've turned out, and I fixed the cloth sashes around the helmets (thanks Toon :) ).

Absolutely brilliant, but you've glued them the wrong way round on the bases! D=

Thanks mate :)

In regards to the basing. I deliberately glued them like that, as I mentioned in the quote below, I play several different systems. For Warmaster, this isn't the best (or correct) method, however it can still work if you play casually with friends and family like I do and are prepared to work with it.

Wonderfull ! How will you prepare the bases ?

I still haven't decided on how I will base these guys yet. I use my 10mm for different gaming systems, so try to cater for all systems as best I can. At the moment I am leaning towards basing them 4 to a base on the wide edge and not 4 to a base on the short edge like is usual for Warmaster...not sure yet.

I'll just glue these guys to the bases and then paint the bases brown and apply the Vallejo Brown Earth mixture, drybrush with Vallejo Beige and then flock.

Oh thank goodness, I thought you had honestly glued them that way by mistake!

Are you inclined to share the file you use to print off your transfers?

will look absolutely fabulous when bases finished regardless of how you base them .

I echo the thought what other rules do people use ?.

Thanks guys!

The systems I play other than Warmaster is GW War of The Ring, which I love, and I have very recently started playing Kings of War, which is a good game if you want a quick easy game, like I sometimes do.

So I finished the basing on the High Elf Cavalry. I'm starting on finishing off the Mounted Hero, Mounted Standard Bearer and Standard Bearer on Foot that I dipped a couple of days ago. Once they are done, I can then start on my Hero on Dragon conversion.

Cracking jobs!

Interesting, our group too has evolved our choice of rule sets to include playing Kings of War (slightly modified) with our 10mm Warmaster armies too. It is a much faster game than original Warmaster and has a somewhat "chess like" feel.

Me, I still prefer the original Warmaster, but several of our players are fed up of some of the quirks of original Warmaster.
