I always intend to take picture of my WIP, but then forget once I get rolling.
I use Sculpey the oven hardening lcay you can get at Wal-mart and similar stores for cheap. For other tools I have clay shapers, dental tools, metal sculpting tools, and exacto knives.
The first step is get a picture of the Razorwing sprue and scale it down so that the main body is about AI scale. You then use it as a template to cut the base wing shape. You use your exacto knife/sculpting tools to create panel lines and other details as needed. You then bake the base wing in a toaster oven for about 10-15 minutes for it to harden.
From there, you layer up using Sculpey. I rolled out long rolls for the fuselgae and engines cut them to length, and then use dmy clay shapers to merge them tothe base wing. Next I detailed using my Exacto and Scultoing tools again. Then I baked it.
Next, I used templates to cut out the stabilizer fins. This part is tough because you have to detail both sides. Then I baked those too.
I glued the stabiliers to the main hull. I then also glued a Litko flying base ring to the bottom for the FW flying stand peg to fit into. Presto- Razorwing.
