While I agree that some of the BFG prices are silly try not to get discouraged. There are some good deals on eBay, I picked up a complete necron fleet 1x tomb, 3 scythes, 2x light cruisers and then 15x assorted escorts for $100aud.

So there are good and honest people selling, not just the scalpers. I would say chaos come up quite often so keep and eye out. Also have a look at the BFG Facebook page, always people selling on there for good prices as they know they are selling to others that enjoy the game. In the past 3x weeks I have seen every fleet advertised for below eBay prices.

some of the prices on e-bay are still silly high, saw a retribution battle ship going for £220

however there are some cruisers and escorts going for only a small mark-up, not many un-built kits though and a lot of them seem to have had all the dorsal turrets put on then are advertised as all sorts of different classes, but never the one they actually resmble
theres no such thing as over kill, its just making sure

Compared to the 179 pound 'Buy it now' one advertised below, that's a bargain  :P

At least you can make an offer...

You're probably right about it being a decimal misplacement.

Warmaster "Commons":

here in the U.S. we just had thanksgiving last week and it seemed like no one was bidding at all while some auctions ended with just my 1 bid.  purchased 6 blisters for not even thirty bucks shipped and there was a whole mess of storm of chaos characters also for sale.  picked up archaon the everchosen and teclis for not even another 30 shipped.

the only thing that was contested was an alternate chaos spawn, the one that looks like a disgusting alien bug with the 2 sharp arms, just over 25 shipped.

All of us americans are still in a turkey coma and plenty of things are still going for just 1 bid of .99 cents  ;)

Ahh, you had to say something! :P  I was hoping for some High Elf Chariots and Silver Helms, but they got away from me.  Now I'll just have to happy with some High Elf archers.  Which for 10 dollars I suppose isn't too bad. :D

warmaster blisters were about $7.50 brand new.  take 15 years of inflation into account and 10 bucks is sitting pretty!

Yes but they are secondhand and thus should be worth less than the original price  ;) ;)

Doesn't always work like that.

Classic cars are more expensive now than when they were first available. The reason is they are no longer manufactured, and the people that have them are unwilling to part with them. So you get a lot of potential buyers wanting to purchse the same thing, hence the price goes up.

Just like b#%# houses in my area. Trying to buy one without going broke when there's more buyers than sellers. :(

same thing with this situation.  Oddly enough, there are more buyers than figures to buy.  Oddly being that they were at one time mass produced and I still cant find someone to play a game with besides my brother  :P

The dwarf king on a throne and the anvil of doom models went for a ridiculous 61 dollars each, plus shipping.  So I guess most everything is normal still.  ha
