and here are some of my t-hawk ordnance markers:

Nova Cannons are for these sissies who as a kid too preferred to throw stones at the others from a safe distance rather than closing in and get into a real fight ;D

umm, well, i don't think they are good enough to compete with the awesome stuff that comes up there....   :o
especially since i have no chapter symbols on them because i am not good enough at freehanding (they are a  selfmade chapter, so no transfer sheets exist...  :-\ )

If you have an idea in mind for them, someone could probably work it up in photoshop so you could get it printed onto transfer sheets if you have an inkjet printer.

well, i do, and the icon actually rather simple, but i don't know where i can get blank transfer sheets to print on....

i'm also searching for somebody with the gear to make etched brass stuff, this could help me a lot (more for my 40k marines army, but maybe even for BFG if the symbols can be done small enough with brass etching), and i like etched brass things better since working with them is easier than with transfer sheets IMO.

I think your ships are very nice looking. Even if you don't think you will win you should enter :). If nothing else it helps to inspire everyone a bit more ;).

my main problem is time  ::)

currently, i have the choice: complete my marines fleet and enter that one into gothicomp, or finish a large enough part of my imperial navy fleet and submit that to gothicomp...  both are impossible  :(

and i don't know if i even manage one of them....  :-\

Theres always sngle ship and one hit, an Armageddon fleet with IN and SM would be cool too! Peer pressure!!!!

i already have two surprises for those two categories as WIP.. hehe.  8)

but you know what? the word "armageddon fleet" gave me an idea...  this year, i'll submit my ultima fleet....  and save the space marines for next year and throw them in with my by then (hopefully) completed armageddon fleet!  :D

well, after some time issues, i could not get anything done really for gothicomp, but then in the end speedpainted these here within less than a single day.

considering the time in which i painted them, i think they turned out not that bad  ;D

and though i didn't win anything, i got at least some votes (putting me 2nd place behind the one who won the heat, which is far better than i ecpected  ;D )

suddenly: PROGRESS.

browsing through the forums, i have read all those threads about people creating new ships, and everyone cheering and being happy that we keep BFG alive, together.

but then, i looked at the other topics in the Modeling and Painting subforum, and realized that it has been a really, really long time since somebody actually has updated any of their project logs. really, there are quite many of them, and when i joined the forums a year ago, there was new stuff every week, always some nice and beautiful ships to look at.

i am guilty myself, been a lon time here. gazing over to my hobby part of the desk, its all filled with 40k armies. frowning, i got up, dug out my box of WIP BFG stuff, grapped the unpainted Retribution battleship, and got on to it.

so, here you go, rough WIP (after somewhat one and a half hours, because of the drying time in between the layers)

i hope some others might pick up some of their ships again now, come on people, get crackin'  ;)
