[BFG] Fledgling Tau
« on: May 08, 2013, 11:49:11 PM »
Hey all

Mid term lurker here.

Wanted to throw up a few pics of my fledgling Tau fleet.

Myself and 2 friends decided to start a small scale campaign, mixing BFG rules with an almost Inquisitor esque 'location damage' ruleset. Smaller fleets, more survivable ships and damage taken is kept recorded for the next campaign battle and affect the ship differently depending on what was damaged :)

Anyway, the first disclaimer. I moved away from miniature wargaming about 7 years ago...and my painting skills then were shoddy, so they haven't exactly gotten better!!

Oh and yeah....it's damn typical that literally 3 days after we started putting together out fleets....the whole 'End of specialist games models' game about grrr

But here is my Tau fleet so far, with Gue'Vesa auxillaries.

Nice Ive been thinking of doing some Human auxillaries for my Tau, but Im finding the 3/1 cruiser restrictions akward with the Tau list and I really hate the standard restrictions on Rogue Traders :/.
I don't make the rules, I just think them up and write them down.

Yeah see we are using alot of house rules with our campaign really. We have altered ours quite alot and we aren't using fleets lists. We just started out with a single ship and are slowly expanding the fleet size as the campaign progresses.

My phone camera sucks but my strike craft arrived. The FW Barracudas were awful. Moulds so thin that the fighters had holes in them or missing wingtips etc. Seems that trhey have dropped QC along with the SG line. Complaint lodged with them, will see what they have to say. I've made the best of what arrived.

Wow that's crap. Hopefully they will do something to try and make up for it, last I checked the only thing they still had was sharks and fighta bombas :/

In case anyone is interested.

All the above is now up for sale and going on Ebay. And won't be going for the ridiculous prices people have been asking for on there.

No strike craft and only 3 orcas not 4 as some bits went missing when I moved house.
