I've been using the list from the TAC 09 for the past two years. Reavers and Bolt Throwers to 4+ is a good change.

What about elven sorcery, is it a huge blow to lose the re-roll on a 1?

I haven't found it that over powered, magic is pretty inconsequential in WM compared to something like Warhammer.

Agree there, and it is thematic.

Neither Magic nor Items a goo WM game make!

If it buys me an odd unit (in all intents!) then that will always be my preference

I was trying the High Elf shooting spells, but I assume that even if I succeed, the "3 attacks" are ones I have to roll to hit on again?  This means that even the most powerful attacks aren't that great.

So with the changes made to the high elf list in the tournamment variant, are there any other things to test at this stage?

TBH the HIgh Elf tournament list should have its own thread maybe ?

OR

there should be consent on "dropping" the original list in favour of the new one.

that's what I meant, my personal viewpoint is that there should be a single 'high elf list' whether for tournaments or casual play, I vote for making the 'tournament list' into the main list, I just think we need a good deal of community feedback before going ahead with it

I think that could be a fair change, but I do not have enough experience in tournament elf list.

As a high elf player, I'm all for using the tournament lists.  :)

I ask my group to just use the tournament list.
