Concerning the Militia of the Dwarf Younger Holds Army
« on: October 05, 2013, 04:45:44 PM »
Good afternoon!

We are pretty happy with the outcome of the Dwarf Younger Holds Army, but we have some questions about the handling of the Militia:

- The Warmaster Trial Rules Compendium (2009) states, the Militia has 3 attacks.  The Selector (Link:
http://wm-selector.appspot.com/ ) states, they have 2 attacks. Which version is right?

- The Militia are able to shoot at chargers. So - do they get +1 attack for each STAND in the first round ? Or do the UNIT gets +1 attack against the attacking foes?

- The Militia gets (as stated) +1 attack per unit in the first round when charging. Does it really mean, the UNIT gets +1 attack? Or does it mean, each stand gets +1 attack?

Hoping for a official (...) response!

Greetings - Heiko

- The selector is right (ttbomK)
- Shooting at chargers as per the special rule: Throwing Weapons.
Quote
Throwing Weapons. Some units from Younger Holds are assumed to use short distance shooting and throwing weapons, explosives etc.
As such they are able to shoot at chargers in a standard way.
Additionally they may count +1 attack per unit on the first round of combat when charging.
Please note that the range of the throwing attacks is always 0cm and they can be executed only when in contact with the enemy.

Shooting and combat bonus is always noted per stand unless specifically stated otherwise. In this case it is clearly stated as a Unit bonus. (Emphasis in quote is mine
