BFG: Punisher Strike Cruiser
« on: October 07, 2013, 10:12:55 PM »
finally started work on my punisher strike cruiser using a torpedo armed dauntless as the main body due to
1. the lack of space marine strike cruisers avalible
2. I never liked the Strike cruiser model
3. I'm not even a fan of the dauntless, but i figured it would look good with stuff to bulk it out

so what i'm stuck with is the broadsied weapons batteries, I've cut one back to just 4 guns so it will still fit on with the launch bay (itself a small section cut from one part), thing is they stick up above the main body and i'm debating wether to chop up a lance batery so it will fit the Dauntless body (its already the perfect length) and just use them as the weapons batteries instead.

what do people think?

Pics will follow tomorrow (if i can find a camera)

well i've gone for the standard dauntless weapon batteries, using the lance batteries just made it look to wide for how thin it was hieght wise

i'll put some pics up of it later on

Nice idea!

If you want, and can give me the dimensions of the original batteries, I can make some custom pieces for you! (mostly because I shamelessly want to steal your idea ;D)

the original batteries are 1 inch long (pretty damm ceartian of that) although i've cut mine down to 1.7cm in order to fit with the small launch bay

heres some pics of the assembled model

i used a spare chaos lance turret for the bombardment cannon

Hi there! How is the conversion going on? I'm really curious to see it painted!

I tried to model some custom punished batteries to go with the Dauntless, if you want I can send you some pictures!
