I was wondering can anybody name a few GW kits or some other sorce for BFG coversion bits? I'm especcialy looking for some angel statues, icons etc. i found few, but I'm not all "down" with the curent GW range so it's hard for me to browse all the stuff at the site. I like the Dark angels Vengance speeder, it has some cool iconography, but spending all that money just to take a few plastic bits seems a bit excentric :)

I got you covered!

It's the older Ravenwing upgrade sprue you're after - lots of little angels of death icons.  I plan on using them for Epic ruins statues.  Even Warmaster statues.

Also some of these are from the old Dark Angel veteran box, designed to be used on top of the backpacks.

Allright that's the stuff! Thanks! Since you mentioned using those for Epic statues. I just remembered i was looking for one 40k eldar bit that i also was planning to use in BFG. A statue similar to this in the bottom/left corner of this picture. Maby you or somebody recognize it? I'm almost 100% sure it was made into a mini.

I'm afraid it's the icon from the old Dire Avenger plastics. The same plastics that have been repackaged to double the price of them.  I have a couple but they get snapped up super fast from bits sites when they upload the stock.  The ones I really want are the icons from the dreadnought and War Walker bases.

Do they have to be GW models? I mean, are third party bits also ok?

Thx a lot Stormwind. To bad is OOP but i think I settle for one and try to copy it with instant mould or something. As for non GW parts keep them coming :)

Ah no, not OOP, just slightly more expensive to get hold of! It's a simple one that should be easy to press mould!

Don't forget that 28mm Eldar parts like the barrels of the guns can be used to add "city spires" to things.  The Dark Eldar have some nice jagged / ornate bitz too like their curved knife sheaths.
