It's so good to see the progress this project is making - I'm already planning paint schemes for my pikemen and swordsmen.

Given that, another unit would be in the cards this year. It'll either be crossbowmen, handgunners or halberdiers.

This is fantastic news, but from a purely selfish perspective I'd be really pleased if the sculpts are substantially different to the WM Empire equivalents - I have plenty of those. Perhaps the crossbowmen could be in heavy armour?

But there are no Halberdiers in a DoW army.

Yes, but these are meant equally for historical or as Empire proxies as well as use for DoW.

Yep, aiming for historical accuracy (so crossbowmen will have a breast plate at most, depending on what my research turns up) and proxies for both DoW and Empire.

Also... MASTERS!

Nice!
My vote is for "historically accurate DoW"  :P  :handguners/arquebusers, then crossbowmen before halberdiers.

My Empire force doesn't have too many Halberdiers or Crossbowmen so I wouldn't be too sad to see more.  Mind you, I love the idea of some primitive looking arquebusiers.

Hi, I managed to miss this on Kickstarter (I've been away from WM for some time) and wonder if these will be for sale at some point?

They'll be up on the WM website once I've shipped to all the backers. That's looking like September at this point.

Great news but on the other hand...

...D'oh! I'd better make a start on reducing the painting backlog!  :'(

Curse you Dave  ;) ;D

Heh, now I'm wondering what a Landsknecht Puke unit would look like. Lots of bright colors? :P

The caster gave me a soft delivery of Friday, we'll know for sure tomorrow.

Looks like it'll be next Tuesday now. More pics then, assuming all goes well.
