How close can you go to an enemy unit
« on: January 18, 2015, 11:01:35 AM »
I want to charge a unit but can't see it, so I manoeuvre my men towards it with an intent to charge on the next command,  how close can I get?

I can't see the enemy but want to move my men to a position behind the enemy, if I can do the distance, how close can I get?

I want to move flyers behind an enemy unit how close can they be?

Question 1+2 are essentially the same, although the intent is different.

I thought the answer would be the same in all three instances, 1 cm

Can you advise please, I can't seem to find the specifics in the rules book

I'm pretty sure intent doesn't really matter- it's a minimum of 1cm away, unless you're actually in close combat. I can't quote any part of the rulebook to support that though.

Thanks, this was our understanding but somehow a 2cm rule for flyers has crept in, no idea how.
I was blamed for instigating this rule, but truly have no recall of it and would point the finger at A.N.Other who is very competitive.  ;)
