How big would you aim for for a bridge?

The bridge I'm really not sure to be honest.
To be functional game wise I suppose about 14cm wide by 20cm long and maybe 9cm high?
If I went non-functional I think more like 6cm wide by 20cm long and say 5cm high.
@jchaos. Lol That would be a challenge! The appealing thing about that as a project is how to make it seem obvious what it is when (in my mind) there's not a typical look for a medieval building like that.

Wait... What? The bridges in Warmaster are meant to only allow an infantry stand to go sideways down, so only 20mm wide.
With a bit of give for elaborately over-modelled stands, maybe 30mm wide (3cm) in terms of the travel area.

How does that work in terms of actually moving a large unit of troops around the battlefield? I'd pictured it as being a block of at least 6 bases. They don't actually move single base file over a bridge?
I know exactly the sort of bridge I want to make, something like this:

Only a bit more warhammerish, and longer.

Personally I'd say 40mm plus breathing space would be plenty wide, but hey, it's your bridge!!
