Warband Rules & Figures - Now available from Pendraken!

This all sounds very promising!

The kind of thing my friend Mark might look at - current recent competition is probably the Dragon Rampant rules from Osprey.

Yep it is indeed. Dragon Rampart author is the same as the Warband review, Daniel Mersey.

Warband is a great game, but in my humble opinion I would not say it is the replacement of warmaster set or rules (for me, at least).

I've like the games of Warband I have played - I wasn't sure from a first read of the rules, but after playing it, I really like it.

I would say it is very different to Warmaster, there are a lot of mechanistic differences and differences in approach. Its probably also aimed at a smaller game (less units) than a WM game.

I'd certainly recommend getting a copy and giving it a go - with the sabot bases Pendraken sell its really easy to convert a WM unit to a Warband one.

It's been a while since our last new 10mm/12mmWarband range, so we've got a double-header to make up for it! 

First up we've got the brand new Dragonmen covering everything from men-at-arms to knights to dragons of course.  These are all brand new sculpts (hence the longer timescales to get them ready) but they're certainly worth the wait as Techno has done a cracking job on them.

Secondly we've got our new Dark Elves as well, with new warriors, raptor-riders and witches ready to take to the table. 

As with all of our Warband ranges, each pack contains all different sculpts, so that's 25 different figures in the foot packs and 12 different poses in the cavalry.
