Man O'War Computer Game

I'm not sure how good its going to be, as there isn't too much to look at so far.  Either way, it's great to see Man O'War being resurrected in some way for those who were not around when the boardgame was released.

I saw this over at the sea of claw's yahoo group, I thought the same thing about the repeating gun guy.  figured they had a few guys modeled without any animations and the repeater was the only one they had animated so far and they could BARELY get the video together.  I hope they put the production into this as the new warhammer total war game but I doubt it.

I wish the game developers luck and I hope I have the money for it when it comes out

I'd rather someone just mad a Man O'War game like the board version.

Agreed. There was a time back then when quality family time would mean spreading out the board game in the living area and poring over it for hours on end, especially on weekends. Loved the rowed galleys, the pirates, the empire.. everything about it. What's more, we still have it; though some things from the box are missing. The last I heard, it had reached a final 'out of print' status back in the year 1998!

I remember the same thing when I was a kid.  Family game night with a board game or puzzle.  Although puzzles would be a family fun WEEK! 

hoping on doing the same with my 2 boys in the future.  Already have a game of trouble and candy land and the 3 year old kinda plays but not really.  ha

oh and he loves playing with my dwarf man o'war ships as I am not putting sails or pennant flags on the minor ships for him to break.  tried to let my kid play heroquest with me but its weird how he just goes into destruction mode and tries to break everything so I stopped getting that out in front of him.

Bethany, you should finish a man o'war fleet and start some games up where you live.

And I know what you mean when you say the little one 'goes into destruction mode'... it happens all the while at our place!

Also, I was an avid puzzle-solver in my childhood, but my kids refuse to even look at puzzles! The problem with them is they have no patience at all.. even five minutes of sitting down and trying to figure out a puzzle is impossible for them.
