stripping chaos metal capital ships

Ok.  I recently (last gencon Indy) picked up a desolator and a repulsive that needed stripping.  I used my standard simple green and toothbrush to get most of the paint off.  Does anyone know of a good way to get into the nooks and crannies to get the rest of the paint?

in usually use highly concentrated vinegar plus some salt.
and after some hours (days), brush it like your theeth.

and if it doesnt work, retry. just leave it a little bit longer in that solution.

I like non acetone fingernail polish remover because it eats right through the resin and any old superglue also. If your trying to save the resin bits dont use it tho! For the crannys I use toothpicks, thumb tacks, and my exacto knife usually.

If you have access to a sonic cleaner it's amazing. Drop it in the bath of whatever cleaner or solution you've picked, turn it on, comeback in an hour. BezerkMonkey over at TacComs did a whole write-up of various stripping techniques. Very methodical and scientific. Dig around and you should be able to find it.

On metal it is acetone all the way for me. Works fast and thorough.

I recommend Super Clean. Also, if the model is all metal, you can use "real" paint strippers to get that hard-to-reach stuff out. Go to your local Walmart or DIY store and look for the gel strippers in the quart-sized metal cans. They'll take that paint off in a matter of seconds.
