Initiative moves and 360deg vision
« on: February 03, 2017, 12:19:23 PM »
I would love to get clarification on this;
in fantasy and presumably WMR units can only use initiative evade/charge for units in front of their line, however 360 vision (such as wolf riders ) would suggest evade/charge from any unit such as in BOFA and WMA.
any thoughts as I'm planning an O&G army for the TriWiz and wondered whether to include wolf riders?

you can find in WM errata (as well as in WMR), that units with 360° vision can use initiative to evade from enemy that is not in their front.
  The difference to WMA is that cavalry with 360° vision is based alongside the longer edge.

I personally like this idea as the light cavalry use is quite limited compared to heavy cav. But I have no idea about the balance issue.

@Aldhick, Thanks for the reminder.  I think the WMR rule is good.  Light cavalry can use their all-round vision to run away, but not to charge.  Because (unlike WMA) they are narrow based, I think that is fair.

thanks for clarification guys, think I will drop them from my list running away is good but I want them to be able to attack, especially as their main use of shooting out support wont work in WMR
cheers
