'Warning: this topic has not been posted in for at least 120 days.'  huh, sooo, anyway, I have finally got this going again. Army is almost complete. 3 stands of units left to base and 2 characters to paint, hopefully will have an army shot in the not too distant future. Might even get my first real over the table game in a couple of months.

phoenixes (count as 2nd eagle unit) awaiting basing

how the phoenix got his feathers

Wow. Lovely conversion work there.

Agree. I'm painting some Indus at the moment. Will post some pics when units are completed.

annnnd army done

only 4 units of silver helms, which i realise isn't meta-perfect list composition wise, but plan would be if i paint dogs of war knights etc, to use those with the high elves as a second helms brigade

army has:
teclis, tyrion, lord on eagle, lord on dragon
4 units spearmen, including 1 swordmaster, 1 phoenix guard
4 units silver helms, including 2 dragon princes
3 units archers (silly number to have)
2 units bolt thrower
2 units eagles, including 1 converted phoenix unit
2 units reaver, including 1 BoFA elf cavalry as reavers with lances
2 units chariots, including 1 converted white lion chariot unit

? now i just need to paint a second army to fight them (although a friend is painting some dwarfs to do battle against).

Phoenix unit looks lovely amongst all the blue. An army to be proud of.

OH! It's YOUR army. And here I thought I had a new person to adore and jealously hate on Facebook for their miniatures collection.

It's still pretty. Very, VERY pretty.

Doing well, getting to gaming with some good groups now.  My hand is recovered further, the therapy is working (but sucks). I have finally started painting my Warmaster, though nothing like these beauties of yours, but I'm staring at only 99% shamefully unpainted armies! Progress!

What's next in your great project log?

Got a bit distracted making half scale BFG. Next WM will be nurgle, as a combined chaos + daemons nurgle based force. Plan is maybe 1000pt chaos, 15000pt daemons, done in such a way i can combine to proxy for 2000pt of either (e.g., daemon flyers will proxy as harpies). I;ve got maybe half the minis in place, not not worked out a quick paint scheme, mostly nurgle, so looking for a quick and dirty way to paint loads at once.

I'm now self-isolating (I'm diabetic) and "working" (haha) from home, so if my paints haven't all dried up I might actually be able to break the 2 year gap in painting stuff. Every cloud has a silver lining?  :D

Oh, you're the guy I'm super jealous of over on Facebook. Good to know.  ;)

Seriously, though, absolutely amazing stuff, especially with the conversions (also, good idea for adding cloaks to the White Lion Chariot drivers; knew I was forgetting something for my own conversions).

Something I'd asked your friend who was posting your pictures, and can now ask you, is where did you get those absolutely stunning waystones for the phoenix bases? I have a high elf army myself, and would love to use those as scatter terrain, if you wouldn't mind sharing where you found them.

Again, though, absolutely amazing work. Well done.
