Tale of Warmaster Painters: January 2021
« on: January 05, 2021, 01:07:34 PM »
Happy new year all.

Had hoped to get my chariots finished in Dec 2020, but they trundled into January.

Now just 5 units left to go: beasts, greater daemon, and another block of 3 plaguebearer horde units
just 5, but some substantial conversion work left, so not a quick 5.

Cheers Dragon,

something a lot simpler this time, greater demon of nurgle. Have wanted to paint this mini for years, maybe bit underwhelming here, but i like the sculpt.

daemon beasts done, the araby war elephant being a christmas present to myself  ;)

Now i just have 9 more stands of plaguebearer hordes to build and convert  to reach 2k (although not a competitive 2k, as beasts + greater demon at 2k is a bit chunky?).

Its been a long while since I've posted on this board , I thought this forum had stopped working, but it seems to be still active. I shall try as share my recent stuff here too (as not everyone likes face book).
Last month I painted the pump wagons I sculpted.

those are excellent, really strong colours. Do you have any pictures of the pump wagon sculpt pre-paint?

Thanks they painted up nice in the end, it was a slog getting there, could not simply copy the 28mm original - had to adjust for 10mm - here are a few shots of the sculpting, it was all a first time learning process, the troll and shaman my second sculpt.

Truly incredible work from both of you. Thank you very much for sharing it.

Absolutely agree, this is first rate work.  I especially love 'the Final Ride' and those daemon beasts are a thing of wonder!
