I have the GW made Phoenix Guard but also have home made Swordmasters (Character pack figs), White Lions (Converted from more Character pack Swordmasters), Lothern Seaguard (front rank archers, rear rank spearmen), Shadow Warriors (paintjob on archers but with some Heroes from the character pack thrown in - all the elf with the cloak and his sword raised) and finally Dragon Princes (The mounted hero with the dragon crest on his helmet with Mighty Empires dragon's heads replacing the horses head). You'll gather that the decision to stop supplying Warmaster "bitz" hit me hard :-)

Still have a unit of Maiden Guard under construction but for the foreseeable future I'll be painting and repairing the house so figures will need to wait :-(

To drag this back on the thread topic, yes MoW is "Man O' War" and the eagles are a much better size for ranking up for a Warmaster unit. I staggered the position of the Warmaster eagles on their bases and bent the wings to different angles, but they're still a pain to use.

absolutly the GW are a pain (wings fall, and only one configuration to obtain the 3 bases allaign) but the figure is beautiful.

Woao! Answer_Mod_Ithoriel it seems you have made a lot of great ideas to convert elf units. It would be a pleasure if you have pics and post them in the forum
